Well Hello There!

Well hello there! I hope you are well. Today, I am awake early. The air is cool and the sun is blooming in the sky. I hope it will be a lovely day, for me and for you.

As there are several new subscribers this month, I thought I would take a moment and re introduce myself and my little projects. Who am I? What is Magique Publishing? Why does any of this matter?

Well! So many questions! It’s a good thing that I have time to answer them today 😊

So, who am I?

Well, I like to think of myself as a creative person. I write, read, knit, draw, and paint digitally and traditionally.  All of these are not only soothing crafts, but means of self expression and conveying emotions and ideas. Of all these mediums, writing is the one where I feel the freest to express myself.

I am a person with struggles and pain. I suffer, I hurt, I cry. I am not perfect. But through my pain and lived experiences, I strive to grow in compassion and empathy for others. I try to nourish myself and foster joy and amazement within myself at the beauty of the world. All this leads me to often wonder: what should I be doing with myself?

Basic survival needs aside, I want to spark joy and creativity in others. I want to help others grow in their souls, through art and expression. I truly believe that the arts can be very healing for people. This leads me to Magique Publishing.

I’ve often toyed with the idea of a publishing house in my life. More than anything, I lacked a theme or concept behind it. However, in the creation of Magique Publishing,  I realized that what I wanted to publish was works that had that extra “oomph”. To me, this happens when works come from the heart, when they are truly inspired. This, to me, is true magic. Much like some distinguish metaphysical magic from sleight of hand magic by spelling it “magick”, I decided to call this type of impactful literature “Magique “, to emphasize its difference.

So yes, Magique Publishing is a publishing house. I hope it will distinguish itself from other houses by having exceptional works, close relationships with its authors, and mindful communications. This is what I aim for.

And finally, why does this matter?

Well, ultimately, I like to think this will matter to some. I like to think that the healing that will happen will be real, palpable in people’s lives. But beyond the impact of the arts, I hope to use several publishing events to fundraise for charities. There are so many important causes, and art is meant to be a positive movement for social change. I hope that through the sale of published works, we can make a change in people’s lives, for good.

Well, I hope this has answered some of your questions! If you have any more burning questions, feel free to email me directly at magiquepublishing245@gmail.com

I sincerely hope you will have an excellent rest of the week. Take care ❤
