Gentle Love

As I enter a phase of personal mourning, I find myself considering so many things. The pain, the suffering, it is intense. The loneliness, the memories…

What has brought me solace is art. Music, novels and images have worked together to soothe me. Certainly, a good base in philosophies or spiritualities one aligns with certainly helps too. But art, whether written or painted or sung, has a quality to soothe immediately, without grand philosophical thoughts.

As I finish the final touches upon our July issue, our first issue, I think on this. I think on how I wish to bring healing to the world, to bring joy and peace and solace. I think of how this certainly must mean to wade in the mud of grief and sadness. After all, no mud, no lotus, as Thich Nhat Hanh famously said. Without the pain and grief and sadness, we would never grow, learn, or feel happiness I think.

And so, as I prepare ‘Joyfully Wondrous’ for you all, I hope that it can help you wade through the mud. I hope it will be there for you, bringing solace, and help you grow and feel happiness and joy. Working on it has certainly brought me joy and happiness.

‘Joyfully Wondrous’, the July and first issue, will release in a few days. If you have not already signed up for the emailing list, please do through the Contact page, and you will be notified when the magazine releases.

Have a wonderful day, and take care ❤
